Tamang Village Hill Trek (Recently Opened Trekking Route) This is our specially introduced trekking program to Tamang Village in Nuwakot district. The trekking trail takes the travelers through low altitude hill covered with forests, terraced fields, fish ponds, and traditional Tamang villages. The travelers will experience ethnic cultural practices of Shamanism along with the magnificent view of the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Annapurna & many other Himalayan peaks from the top of the hill. The trail passes through desolate villages which are still unexplored by any foreign visitors till date.
The trip starts from Kathmandu and it is just 1 ½ hours drive. The trekking tour will be only for four to five days with home stay and the travelers can even continue further journey to Chitwan National Park & Pokhara via this Tamang village. There are no lodges available to spend overnight throughout the trekking period. The only option for the travelers is to stay at local families’ homes for overnight accommodation and food. Combining a trekking trip to this village with the home stay facilities could be an excellent opportunity to experience Nepal’s rural lifestyle of the people and local culture.
